One of the things that separates Modern Tiny Living from other builders is the partnership of a certified architect. In our case, that's Bruce Faris - the man, the myth, the legend.
Having a certified architect around is crucial for a variety of reasons. One, he is able to design your dream home from the ground up - and is qualified to do so. He can take designs, photos and priorities and create something custom tailored to your needs. Now, building a "pretty" home is standard in our industry, but building a pretty home that is structurally sound and roadworthy is totally different. Bruce takes things into consideration like snow load, your travel load, torque, weight distribution, and much more. Most companies just don't go into that level of detail and safety. Just because someone is a skilled carpenter or craftsman does not mean they know how to build a roadworthy tiny house on wheels that is going to stand the test of time. Bruce, of course, isn't just a certified architect, but a tiny home dweller himself. He knows first hand what it's like to live tiny, and by pairing his first-hand experience as a tiny house-liver with his technical experience - and combined with our design crew in Rachel Pitman and Cindy Hamilton - it enables our team to build designs at MTL that are the most beautiful, structurally sound, and safe tiny homes on the market. Round of applause for Bruce! Comments are closed.
